Several members of the CTS team presented at the University of Chicago’s annual Business Diversity Professional Services Symposium, an innovative program that establishes the University as a leader in creating opportunities for new business partnerships with diverse service providers. The presentation to University leaders included CTS staff Julie Scott, Beth Stone, Greg Allen and Pam Jackson.
The two-day event began with a networking reception hosted by University President Robert J. Zimmer. In his welcoming remarks to the nearly 300 attendees, President Zimmer encouraged the University to develop sustainable relationships with diverse firms that will advance continual improvements for both the performance of the University of Chicago as well as its business partners. John Rogers, Jr., a trustee of the University and CEO of Ariel Investments, LLC. spoke about the history of minority businesses in Chicago and the importance of cultivating diverse business relationships with professional service firms. Rogers challenged the University to think differently about how it does business.
In addition, Governor Patrick Quinn congratulated the University of Chicago for its strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
